LUBBOCK, TX — A 34-year-old man wanted for parole violation and linked to a gun burglary in Knox County was arrested in Lubbock last night after leading officers on a high-speed chase.
Shane Lester was under investigation by the Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) Unit and was found at around 10:13 p.m. on Dec. 26 in the 6400 block of Albany Avenue. According to a press release, when officers tried to stop him in his vehicle, Lester sped off, starting a pursuit. The chase ended in a multi-vehicle crash in the 3400 block of Quaker Avenue.
The crash injured one person, and they were taken to UMC by EMS. Lester was arrested at the scene and taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center, where he faces charges of Evading Arrest or Detention in a Motor Vehicle and a Parole Violation.
LSCO stated that during his arrest, Lester had several firearms in his possession that are believed to have been stolen during a recent burglary in Knox County.
