LPD Seeks Public’s Help in East Lubbock Fatal Shooting

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is asking for the public’s help after a shooting in East Lubbock left one man dead on February 2nd.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired around 1:00 a.m. in the 1900 block of East Baylor Street

When they arrived, they found Robert Johnson, 29, inside a home with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Additional officers were called to assist with securing the area, but no arrests have been made yet.

LPD urges anyone with information about the shooting to contact Crime Line at 806-741-1000. Tips could lead to a reward of up to $5,000, and callers can remain anonymous.

The investigation is ongoing.
