Charges Dropped Against Former KLBK Weather Girl

LUBBOCK, TX — Charges against a local ex-weather reporter have been officially dropped.

South Plains LIVE! reached out to the Lubbock County Clerk’s Office on Thursday, March 6, and confirmed that charges against Kathryn Campbell, 24, have been dismissed.

Campbell was arrested on November 25, 2024, for a Class A Misdemeanor Assault charge against a family member. The county dropped the charges about three weeks later, in December 2024, but not before the KLBK on-the-air personality apparently lost her job following the unfavorable publicity of the arrest.

KLBK is operated by Nexstar Media Group and is based in Irving, Texas.
