5.1 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Lubbock and South Plains

 

LUBBOCK, TX – At 7:49 p.m. on Monday, September 16, a 5.1 magnitude earthquake centered in Tarzan, Texas, located between Lamesa and Midland, shook the South Plains, including Lubbock. 

The United States Geological Survey confirmed the seismic activity.
