City of Lubbock Accepting Applications for Several Vacancies

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock is accepting applications for several vacancies on its boards and commissions, offering residents an opportunity to participate in shaping city policy and community initiatives. Terms for the positions begin June 1, 2026, and applications must be submitted by December 31, 2025.

City officials noted that any applications submitted since Jan. 1, 2024, will still be considered, though residents are encouraged to log in and update their information to ensure the city has the most current details on file.

Upcoming vacancies include:

Animal Services Advisory Board
• Two citizen positions
• One animal shelter employee position

Audit and Investment Committee
• One citizen position

Board of Health
• Two City of Lubbock representative positions

Capital Improvements Advisory Committee
• One developer/real estate/builder position
• One citizen position

Keep Lubbock Beautiful Advisory Committee
• Four citizen positions

Lake Alan Henry Board of Appeals
• Two Lake Alan Henry property owner positions

Parks and Recreation Board
• Three citizen positions

Public Transit Advisory Board
• Two citizen positions

Veterans Advisory Committee
• Four citizen positions
