LUBBOCK, TX — The Buddy Holly Center will participate in Lubbock's First Friday Art Trail on December 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The event, hosted by the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts (LHUCA), invites Lubbock residents to explore local galleries, restaurants, and businesses showcasing art and performances.
According to a press release, The Buddy Holly Center will feature the West Texas Watercolor Society Signature Show, curated by Dr. Candace Keller, Professor of Art at the University of the Llano Estacado.
The exhibit will display the work of watercolor artists from across the South Plains, with those accepted into three Signature Exhibits earning the "WTWS" distinction.
The West Texas Watercolor Society has been supporting local artists for over 60 years with scholarships, workshops, and community programs. The exhibition is funded by a City of Lubbock grant and donations from Friends of WTWS.
The event is free, and there will be art demonstrations and children’s crafts available. Refreshments will be served, but outside food and drinks are not allowed, stated the release.
The First Friday Art Trail is located at 1801 Crickets Avenue.
