LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Police Department has announced that it has restored public access to its online report viewing system after a temporary pause during a technology upgrade.
The system was temporarily unavailable after the department launched a new Computer-Aided Dispatch and Records Management System (CAD/RMS) on September 24, 2024, in partnership with Central Square Technologies.
A press release from LPD states the City of Lubbock’s IT department has since worked to ensure both past and current police reports remain accessible to the public.
Citizens can now view public report narratives by visiting lubbockpolice.com, clicking the "Reports and Forms" tab, and selecting "View a Report."
Returning users may need to clear their browser’s cookies and cache the first time they log in, though existing usernames and passwords should still work, LPD says.
To locate a report, users must know the date the report was filed and the seven-digit case number (e.g., 250000001), following the new format.
As with the previous system, some reports remain unavailable online due to privacy or legal restrictions. Individuals needing access to those records can submit an Open Records Request through the City of Lubbock’s online portal:
