DPS Seizes 16 Pounds of Cocaine, 2 Pounds of Fentanyl in Carson County

 

CARSON COUNTY, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has seized over 16 pounds of suspected cocaine and nearly two pounds of suspected fentanyl following a traffic stop in Carson County.

On Friday, September 6, at 5:12 p.m., a DPS Trooper pulled over a 2025 Chevrolet Malibu traveling east on I-40 near Conway for a traffic violation. During the stop, the Trooper found multiple plastic-wrapped blocks of cocaine and a bag of fentanyl in the vehicle.

DPS Special Agents and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents were called in to assist with the investigation.

The driver, 40-year-old Stephane Davis of Roanoke, Va., was arrested and booked into the Carson County Jail on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance.

The drugs were reportedly being transported from Corona, Calif., to Roanoke, Va.
