Lubbock ISD Cancels Classes on Monday

 

LUBBOCK, TX — Lubbock Independent School District has canceled all classes and school-related activities for Monday, Jan. 26, due to continued winter weather and the potential for hazardous driving conditions.

All schools and administrative offices will be closed. District employees will observe a planning day and work remotely.

Meal Pickup Information

Lubbock ISD will also repeat curbside meal pickups for district families on Monday.

  • Time: 10–11 a.m.

  • Students do not need to be present

  • Families should be prepared to provide their student’s home campus name

Meals will be distributed at the following locations:

  • Coronado High School
    4910 29th Dr. — Door #26

  • Estacado High School
    1504 E. Itasca St. — Door #23

  • Lubbock High School
    2004 19th St. — Door #8

  • Monterey High School
    3211 47th St. — Door #20

Families and staff are encouraged to continue monitoring email and phone messages for additional weather-related updates.

The district emphasized that official communications regarding cancellations, delays or early dismissals will be distributed through the following channels:

  • Email and text alerts

  • District website: www.lubbockisd.org

  • Official Lubbock ISD Facebook and Instagram pages

Officials cautioned that information shared from unofficial sources may be inaccurate.
