Train Derailed Near Muleshoe

 

MULESHOE, TX – On Tuesday evening, September 17, a train derailed just a few miles outside Muleshoe, Texas, prompting a quick response from local authorities. 

The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.

The Bailey County Sheriff's Office reported that the right lane of westbound Highway 84 was shut down.

Authorities are now assessing the extent of the damage to the train and any potential impact on surrounding infrastructure.

According to BCSO, no injuries were reported.
