The broiling heatwave continues on Thursday throughout Lubbock County. The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory that will remain in effect until after 8 p.m. CST.
The 15th Annual “Vamos a Pescar, Let’s Go Fishing” Event will be held on Saturday, August 3, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Buddy Holly Lake located at N. University and Cesar Chavez Drive.
